We appreciate your interest in thatsmyblanket.com.  We’d like to tell you a little bit about how we got our start.

That’s My Blanket was started 4 years ago in Miami, Florida.  One day I realized I had WAY too many T-Shirts in my closet.  I took all my Harley-Davidson shirts gathered from around the U.S.A, cut ‘em up, laid ‘em out then sewed them together.  TaDa – Blanket #1 was born!  Next, I took all my softball shirts from various teams and tournaments.   Cut ‘em up, laid ‘em out and TaDa – Blanket #2 was born!

By this time, I am starting to get the hang of this stuff.  I’m excited about the way these blankets are turning out so I gathered up my kids Hockey jerseys.  I thought, “MAN. This one is going to be great!  It’s going to have all the memories of the games he played while growing up.”  I cut ‘em up, laid ‘em out, sewed them together and TaDa – Blanket #3 –It looks GREAT!!

We took the hockey blanket with us to my son’s hockey games and then the BUZZ started.  Parents and kids asking, “Where did you get that???  How much did it cost???”  And THAT was the birth of “That’s My Blanket”.

Wanting to increase the quality of my blankets, I took courses in sewing so I could craft refined, high-quality blankets.  I wanted the quality to be such that it would last a lifetime.  The looks on people’s faces when I hand them their personalized Hand Crafted Blanket full of memories, will last me a lifetime.
